The Redding Firefighters Local 1934 teamed up with Logan’s roadhouse to raise money for the Mercy Medical Center Pediatric unit. The Pediatric unit was being remodeled to provide a more comfortable environment for children to stay while being treated and recovering while in the hospital. Through proper planning and organization the firefighters spearheaded an event named “Tip-a-Firefighter” and 15 Local 1934 members participated in serving and catering to patrons with the help from Logan’s staff. The final figure raised was $3,611.00 which went directly to Mercy Medical Center Pediatric unit. We thank all the citizens who stopped in for dinner, local media and especially Logan’s Roadhouse for making this event such a success.
